In this context the broader effort has been devoted to the realization of a submarine robot capable of independent movement on the hull of a boat. The first goal we have set ourselves is to create a tool capable of keeping clean the hull of a boat without the intervention of human operators. The ability to move on a hull will also allow other activities like verification of the structural integrity and protection from external agents. The robot, whose project name is PolBot, has already obtained a european patent and is waiting to be patented in other foreign countries.
